WS Added Value of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals for Cities and Regions and Related: Voluntary Local Reviews

Achieving the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the UN is now a widely shared goal. How can success be measured and, above all, compared internationally? Voluntary Local Reviews (VLR) serve this purpose. This is a stocktaking and interim status of target achievement. Many municipalities around the world also use these VLRs as steering instruments or status reports for the sustainable development of their municipality. A VLR offers a holistic overview of all issues of a municipality (education level, poverty, car density, premature mortality, percentage of nature conservation area, etc.). We want to support other municipalities in the preparation of a VLR and show them the advantages of the VLR for their daily work.
