Why and to what extent do mechanisms of human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation intertwine in escape processes

Mechanisms of individual and organized human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation intertwine brutally in escape processes. Women and girls in particular are massively endangered by this and make up the absolute majority of victims. The war in Ukraine is forcing millions of women to embark on the path of flight with and without family. Since organized human trafficking is well networked internationally, it is not uncommon for victims to become suddenly entangled in the criminal structures and thus disappear from view.
